Maximizing Muscle Growth: Movement

When the bottle of Sriracha is nearly empty, I leave it upside down until the few remaining drops dribble to the nozzle. After that, I add a little water and stir it around to get the rest. I work hard to get every last drip! When it comes to working out, I’m no different.

Movement:

Every bodily movement is powered by counter active muscle groups- Antagonists and Protagonists. As one muscle group contracts, the counter muscle group lengthens. For instance, when you do a biceps curl, your biceps contract and your triceps lengthen. These motions are called Concentric (contraction) and Eccentric (lengthening).

The most muscle breakdown occurs during Eccentric motion opposed to Concentric. That means the way down during a biceps curl. It is a good rule of thumb to go through the Eccentric motion in 3-5 seconds and Concentric in 2 seconds.

Bottom Line: Fighting the weight on the way down is the key to growing bigger muscles.

Apply this concept to all your hypertrophy lifts and get results. Happy Lifting, Folks!

  1. Hi
I am thinking about taking prohormones, do you think this is good idea for advanced
bodybuilder like me? People are satisfied with the results
after prohormones cycles, just google for – 100% pure muscles without
side effects – worth a try?

    1. Hi, buddy. Yeah, I think that prohormones are worth the try especially if you’ve been lifting and need something to supplement your growth. I would stick to BCAAs or Creatine, though. There hasn’t been enough studies to make it worthwhile to take other extreme prohormones IMO
